My Crocheting Fun

I have been crocheting silly animals and things. Here are some pictures.  This first one is the Peas in a Pod that was for Caroline.  The snowman that Henry claimed.  The little pink worm I made in Kansas that I keep forgetting to put a mouth on, and and apple with a little green worm inside that my mother-in-law got for Christmas.

This is Harry the Hippo his head is slightly tipped to the side.  I am still learning.  Next to the hippo are Henry's scarf and headband that had to be done in blue.

These are the headbands and hat I made for Beatrix.  I also decided she needed a mouse.

And these are Henry's pets.  He had to have them all to nap or got to sleep at night.  The mouse pattern didn't have legs but Henry didn't want it until I put them on.  So his mouse has legs and is now one of the pets.  The others are a fish we purchased at the Atlanta Aquarium and Kevin's baby from the Disney movie "Up".

I also crocheted a baby sea turtle that was really funny but forgot to take a picture before Zeddi got it.   I do plan on making more because it was really funny so there will be a picture eventually.  Right now I am mostly working on an afghan for my sister-in-law.  I have a pattern that has you make 63 squares of different stitches, I have five done.  It is good because I am learning new stitches even if I have to undo more than once.

Christmas 2010

Yes Christmas came to our house on December 25th even if its taken me this long to post anything about it!  And Rob and I did get presents and Henry got more than just legos but we just didn't get very many pictures this year.

The funny part about this picture is that our family had Randy's family for Christmas so I crocheted three peas in a pod for the girls and Randy got tools.  I took three pictures of Caroline opening the present and none of the actual present.  On the left side of this photo is Randy trying to put together the legos Fistan got for Christmas and having the same problems we did with Henry - he was trying to build something else with the same pieces.  Rob said if we get legos again he is putting them together the night before.  And the he should get some too.

Playing in the Snow

While Mitzi was here it snowed a few times which was fun for her and the boys.  I stayed inside with Beatrix and she took the boys outside.  We did get Henry's summer toys put away last fall so the boys were mowing the snow and filling the trick or treat bucket.  But they had a blast and that was the whole point.  That and I got to stay dry.  I don't mind the cold but being wet and cold just doesn't sound like fun so I was very grateful that Beatrix came to play too!

SuperHeroes

Don't Worry!  Don't be afraid!   Our favorite superheroes are here to save the farm.

And if that isn't enough...............They also moonlight as monster exterminators with their sidekick.

Don't Worry I didn't fall of the face of the earth................................

Just feel like it today!!  My blogging is sadly lacking for the last few months but don't worry I have been alive so i will be catching up on the things that have been happening.  My sister was here so there will be a lot of 'cousin pictures' those are always fabulous.  But first my adventures of the day!  You would think that after being on medication for as long as I have that I would remember that when you change meds you should expect to be sick I forgot today and the upset stomach really surprised me.  Crazy huh!  Lets blame my morning project on that!  I crochet a hat for my new niece Zoey last Saturday and really it was a preemie or doll hat so I made another one this morning but in my attempt to make it bigger I made my 6 month old niece Beatrix a hat.  Don't worry Zoey you will get one eventually!  And while I was trying to add a ruffle to the hat my wonderful Henry pulled all my yarn out and jumped on it repeatedly unraveling a lot of it, laughing and laughing.  Oh he was having a great time.  I should have taken a picture.

This is the same child who will talk to anyone as long as he starts that conversation.  We picked up my sister-in-laws father last week to take him to babysit her dog while she went to the hospital to have her baby and on the way there Henry told him all about when he was a baby in my tummy and he came out my bum and it hurt bad.

That is all for today.
