Henry ran into the kitchen and wished me a happy birthday and asked how old I was, so I told him 36. He said you are just like me I am 36 too. A few months ago we took him to the doctor and they got his weight which was 36lbs and now he tells everyone he is 36 yrs old. But don't worry he knows he is turning 5 on his next birthday. Which he excited told me is next after mine.
Birthdays just don't have the same excitement for me anymore. Its a getting older, having a child and not being able to spend the day spoiling myself. Although I did have Lucky Charms for breakfast. This year my mom planned our family camp out for tonight so I do get a party. And she is making Red Velvet Whoopie Pies for my candles except they won't all fit. One is good.
I don't mind getting older but if I part my hair in the right spot I have more gray which reminds me of the passing of time. Watching Henry play soccer does that too. He is growing up so fast. Which is good but.......I can't call him my baby anymore one because he doesn't like it and two because he isn't. He is so like his dad, watching him run across the field I have flashbacks to Rob in track. He will do well if he chooses to do that.
I had my niece Zoey most of the day yesterday and maybe that has something to do with my melancholy today I always thought we would have more kids. Not that we are too old just thinking of the passing time. I am glad that Heavenly Father is in charge and I know my little guy needs me. That reminder was good. Today is a day to celebrate my life and those in it. Maybe Henry and I will go buy Legos for me for my birthday present from him.
Live is good!!
Mostly about Henry but some about the things I do the other five minutes of the day!

Henry's Summer Activities
SWIM
I don't know if you can tell by the picture but his teacher is barely touching him. Henry is swimming!!
This is just funny!Soccer
Henry likes to play during the breaks so he can have the field and the ball to himself. We are working on getting him to play with his team. He does get excited when he kicks the ball. Thursday, July 7, 2011
More Adventures in Missouri
Ring Pops for the boys. Yes Henry got the blue one.
We found a park with a rock wall. Way fun!!
We went to the museum on base and I tried to get a picture of Henry but he screamed every time I pointed the camera at him.
Fistan however was willing to pose every time! I did sneak a picture of Henry.
After we looked at most of the museum we went outside and the boys dug for bugs.
We said goodbye at the airport, then on their way back home Mitzi and her kids stopped at the temple.

Happy Birthday Zeddi!
Number 3
Zeddi chose his birthday breakfast, peanut butter toast with sprinkles. Then when no one was looking he added more. Henry and Fistan received Lego like tanks for Zeddi's birthday! And after putting them together the verdict was Legos are definitely worth the extra money. They hurt you fingers putting them together.
He got his own tent and we all had to ask permission to go in. It was set up in the living room and he sat in there watching his Backyardigans DVDs.
Owl cupcakes instead of birthday cake..................so yummy!

Trip to Missouri
where its more humid than Utah! Where my skin loved it because I barely had to put lotion on and my hair had more body and curl. We flew in the morning arriving in the mid afternoon and after Mitzi driving in circles we finally figured out that I didn't know where I was, not surprise really. We were on our way but stopped at a McDonald's play place because all of the kids need to play! That was when Mitzi decided to tell me they were in the year of the 17 year cicada. Which means these really icky bugs that only come every 17 years were all over the place and she waited until i got there to tell me.
YUCK!!
The boys had fun together most of the time, which is how it goes. Here are some pictures of the 'Backyard Races'.
They also went swimming whenever they could. And Fistan wore is suit most of the time! However Calipso (the dog) wanted to play too and that sometimes caused problems but they still had fun.
We painted cookies and let the boys pick their cookie cutter. Zeddi was the only one who painted all his cookies. Mitzi and I had to finish Fistan and Henry's. They sure liked eating them.
More later off to help the child!
